Dear BRS Community,
November brings with it crisp fall weather, which is a great time to remember that our students participate in outdoor time every day, weather permitting. Please be sure your child is ready for outdoor time so they can fully enjoy this opportunity! November is also the month that we spend time sharing gratitude and honoring our veterans. Beecher will be doing both of these things in various ways in the coming weeks. On Veterans Day we will be celebrating and honoring our veterans with the students and some special guests. Unfortunately, at this time, we will not be inviting visitors in to participate. We will also be creating a schoolwide Gratitude Graffiti wall, stay tuned for pictures as we build that as a school community!

Holiday Helpers Program
Does your family have a need this holiday season? Let the BRS Social Action Committee support you through our Holiday Helpers Program. This is a confidential opportunity for support with gifts for kids, clothing needs, gift cards, etc. There is not an income verification, we just ask that you have a reasonable need this season. (You may include any BRS graduates who still live at home).
- The only person who will be able to view your family's personally identifiable information is Carrie Borcherding.
- Any staff who participates in supporting your family will receive ONLY a student's gender, age and items of need.
- Your phone number/email are needed so that we may get the items to you in mid December.
- Any questions, contact Carrie Borcherding cborcherding@woodbridgeps.org.
We hope to help as many families as possible. If you have a need, please submit the Google Form by November 19th. Holiday Helpers Google Form

Health Office
With cold and flu season quickly approaching, we wanted to share some important reminders from the health office.
Please keep your child at home for any fever over 100.2, an uncontrollable cough, congestion that makes it difficult to breathe or focus in class, a severe sore throat, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea.
We ask that you do NOT give your child fever-reducing medicine and send them to school or use the "see how you feel later" approach.
Please continue to report positive Covid cases to the health office by emailing the nursing supervisor, Robin Froehle RN, at rfroehle@woodbridgeps.org. Please also continue to report flu, RSV or any other significant illnesses to the health office.
The health office portion of the BRS website has been updated for this school year. Please visit the site for the most up to date information regarding assessments, illnesses, medications and all things school health related.
